Speaking as a Christian, I would say we don’t want to “put prayers in schools” but rather are upset by how increasingly often praying in schools is vilified and banned.
Intelligent design is a scientific theory that more than one top scientist has argued for. Whether it was aliens or God or whatever, even evolutionary scientists have talked about how there is a greater probability that something helped life on earth come into being than there is for life just showing up here all on its own. I know there are scientific arguments against evolution that are not generally presented in schools. We want students to see all the sides of the story.
And anti-choice folks believe that unborn babies have a right to life and that abortion is murder. We are not trying to take away the rights of women but rather protect the right to life that everyone has. Sorry that’s inconvenient for some people.
I’m not the expert and I avoid politics like the plague but Christians do have centuries worth of arguments behind their opinions. We aren’t just running around trying to make the world an inconvenient place.
